Ouch

Mother has needed some blood taking today. This required that she not eat for sometime before it was taken. Light-headed and in dire need of sustenance she went to Uncle’s to get him to take them. Being a nurse has to have some perks, not least of which is that you can get your mates to take blood off you without having to wait until you collapse in a heap at the path lab.

This has made me think of other things which nurses could do for themselves without having to bother another medical professional. Take your own appendix out for instance. DIY hip replacement, using a couple of screws and a hinge. Brain surgery using a Black and Decker drill it your self special. The list is endless……………….

Just keep them away from cats……………….
